Maitland sits just north of Winter Park and shares a lot of its appeal with a calmer, more residential feel. It is a city of lakes, with Lake Maitland connecting to the same chain that runs through Winter Park. The location is quietly convenient. I-4 and 17-92 make commuting simple, downtown Orlando is a short hop, and the schools and parks make it comfortable for families. It has the feel of an established, settled community rather than a place that is still finding itself.
